Chadd Downing is hard to categorize.  On one hand, he's a precise punch-line rapper.  On the other hand he's conscious.  Either way, he's lyrical, and that's all that matters.  The Trenton native is learning the ropes of the rap game, but already maintains a polished flow and demeanor in his music.  Adding a subliminal element of street life in his rhymes creates a sense of balance, believability, and verisimilitude that reverberates with a dichotomy of listeners.  His story telling ability and knack for creating not just songs, but musical landscapes is consequential to say the least.  Like I said, hard to categorize.  His broad and varied styles allow him the opportunity to bypass categorical restraints and make hip-hop music that speaks to everyone.  His brainy lyricism coupled with hard-edged rhymes make him a complete and organic artist.  The release of "PMFL" is going to force the rap world to become even further accustomed to the talent of Chadd Downing, and no categories or labeling can prevent that.  Jersey stand up.
